The Four Seasons’ single ‘Working My Way Back to You’ was at its peak UK chart position of #50 during this week. It deserved better, and had previously reached #9 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 1979 the Detroit Spinners added this song to their own 'Forgive Me Girl' to create a disco medley that was a #2 hit in the US and #1 in the UK. It was also released in the UK by Boyzone in 1997, when it reached a richly-deserved high of #129 on the charts.
